Privacy policy

Cinematic Pro — Your media, permissions and privacy.

Effective date October 18, 2026

01About this policy

Cinematic Pro is a video-editing app provided by NovaTech Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, work with media, export a project, or contact us.

Privacy contact: developer.novatechapps@gmail.com. Please include "Cinematic Pro privacy" in your subject line so we can identify your request. This policy covers the mobile app. Our website privacy policy covers the NovaTech Apps website separately.

02Media, projects and information you provide

  • Media you select: Video clips, photos, audio tracks and related information, such as file names, formats, sizes, duration and dimensions, are used to open, preview, edit and export the content you choose. Media access is tied to the editing task you request.
  • Editing information: Project settings, editing choices, preferences and temporary working files may be stored to support the editing workflow and remember your choices.
  • Recordings: If you use an available capture or voice-recording feature, the camera or microphone input is used for that feature after you grant the required permission.
  • Support messages: When you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. Please do not send sensitive media, passwords or other people's information unless necessary to resolve your request and you have authority to share it.

Access to a media file is different from uploading it. A device permission alone does not mean your entire media library is transmitted to us. When you choose to export or share a file, the destination you select determines who receives that copy.

03Android permissions

Cinematic Pro declares the following Android permissions. Access available to the app depends on your Android version, your permission choices and the feature you use. Android may provide a system file picker, selected-item access or a media permission.

  • Photos, videos and audio: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO and READ_MEDIA_AUDIO allow access to the corresponding media types for selecting, previewing and editing your content, subject to Android's access controls.
  • Storage on older Android versions: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is declared for Android 12/12L and earlier, through API level 32. It supports reading media on those versions. This declaration does not grant unrestricted write access to every file on your device.
  • Camera: CAMERA supports photo or video capture when you choose an available capture feature and grant access. Camera hardware is declared optional; a camera is not required for installation.
  • Microphone: RECORD_AUDIO supports recording audio or voice input for an available recording feature after you grant access.
  • Notifications: POST_NOTIFICATIONS supports notifications such as processing or export progress, subject to your notification choices and Android requirements.
  • Foreground media processing: FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PROCESSING support an ongoing media-processing task, such as preparing or exporting a video, with the foreground-service behaviour required by Android.
  • Vibration: VIBRATE supports haptic feedback for interface actions or alerts. It does not provide access to your photos, recordings or personal files.
  • Internet: INTERNET permits network connections for online features and any included third-party services described below. Network access does not itself grant access to your media.

You can review and change camera, microphone, media and notification access in Android Settings where Android offers those controls. Some declarations, such as internet, vibration and foreground-service permissions, do not have a separate runtime permission prompt. Denying or limiting access may make the related feature unavailable. You can still manage your files through Android and the storage service where they are saved.

A declared permission identifies an access capability; it does not, on its own, establish that files are uploaded or that a particular advertising or analytics service is installed.

04How information is used

Information is used to provide the editing, preview, saving and sharing actions you request; maintain project preferences; handle support; address compatibility and reliability problems; and protect the app against misuse. Advertising, usage measurement or crash-reporting processing, where included, is described separately below.

Sensitive permissions must be used for the feature for which access was granted. Optional processing that requires consent is subject to that choice and applicable law.

05Third-party services, advertising and diagnostics

The following describes processing that applies if the version you use includes the relevant service. It is not a statement that every listed service is enabled in every version.

  • Google AdMob, if included: Google's advertising services may process advertising or app identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver, measure, secure and, where permitted, personalise ads. Consent and regional privacy choices apply where required. You can also manage your advertising identifier through your device's Google or privacy settings.
  • Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics, if included: The enabled service may process usage events, app-instance identifiers, device and app details, performance information or crash logs to understand app operation and diagnose problems. The applicable data depends on the enabled product and configuration.
  • Android, app stores and services you choose: The operating system, app store, backup provider, storage service or sharing destination may independently process information under its own settings and policies. They do not become part of NovaTech simply because you use them with the app.

Relevant provider information: Google Privacy Policy, Google advertising data disclosures, Firebase privacy information and Google advertising controls.

These providers' policies describe their own processing, retention and controls. This policy does not grant advertising or analytics providers permission to use your selected media for unrelated purposes.

06Sharing and exports

When you choose a sharing destination or save to a cloud-backed folder, the selected service or recipient receives the file and any information embedded in it. Review the destination and the content before sharing; recipients control their own copies.

Information may also be handled by service providers supporting the features described in this policy, where necessary to operate those features; disclosed where required by law or to protect users and prevent abuse; or transferred as part of a business reorganisation subject to applicable privacy obligations and required notice. Disclosure should be limited to information necessary for the purpose.

We do not sell your personal media. You remain responsible for having permission to edit or share content that includes other people.

07Retention and deletion

Local project files, preferences and temporary editing data remain for as long as needed for your work or until removed by you, app cleanup, clearing app storage or uninstalling the app. Clearing app storage can reset preferences and remove unfinished work. Exported media may remain in shared storage, your gallery, a cloud folder or another app after Cinematic Pro is removed; delete those files separately where they are stored.

Android or a storage provider may keep backup or transferred copies according to your device and provider settings. Clearing local app data does not necessarily remove backups, exported files or recipients' copies.

Support correspondence is kept while needed to respond, resolve the issue, maintain relevant support records or meet legal obligations, and is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed for those purposes. Data independently held by third-party providers follows their retention policies and controls.

To request deletion of personal information held by NovaTech Apps, email developer.novatechapps@gmail.com. Identify the app and the information involved without sending unnecessary sensitive material. We may need proportionate information to verify that you are entitled to make the request. We cannot remotely erase device-only files or copies controlled by another recipient or provider.

08Your choices and privacy rights

You can choose which files to open, control Android permissions, stop using an optional feature, manage device advertising settings and control where you export or share content. Where a consent choice is offered, you can change or withdraw it through the available consent controls; withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before that change.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related uses. Contact developer.novatechapps@gmail.com to exercise applicable rights or ask about the information we hold. You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.

09Children's privacy

Cinematic Pro is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact developer.novatechapps@gmail.com so we can review the concern and take appropriate action.

Parents and guardians should supervise children's device use and the sharing of images, videos or recordings that identify a child.

10Security and international processing

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information handled for the purposes described in this policy. No storage system or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device protected and take care before sharing sensitive media or allowing other people access to an unlocked device.

Your email provider and any third-party services involved may process information outside your country. Applicable privacy obligations and safeguards apply to transfers made by us; independently operated providers describe their international processing in their own policies.

11Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the app or other appropriate notice where required by law.

For privacy questions, requests or concerns, contact NovaTech Apps at developer.novatechapps@gmail.com and identify Cinematic Pro.
