Terms & conditions

Aura is an offline music player. It plays audio files already stored on your device, and offers library browsing, playlists, an equalizer, spatial (8D/16D) audio, vibe presets, lyrics, home-screen widgets and related features. The app doesn't provide, stream, sell or download music.

• You're responsible for the audio files you play with the app, and for having the right to possess and play them.
• The app doesn't check where your files came from or whether you have rights to them, and we don't endorse any infringing use.
• Song titles, artwork and lyrics shown in the app come from your own files and tags. They belong to their respective owners.

• Our brand. "Aura Music Player", the Aura logo and app icon, and our store listing, website and marketing materials belong to us. You may not use them to identify another app or service, or in a way that suggests our endorsement.
• Software licences. The app includes software from the OuterTune and InnerTune projects, which is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 ("GPL"). As a result, the app's software is provided to you under the GPL. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the GPL gives you, and if these terms conflict with the GPL about the software, the GPL applies. The licence text and credits are in the app under Settings > About.
• Source code offer. You can get the complete corresponding source code of any version of the app you received by emailing developer.novatechapps@gmail.com. We'll provide it at no charge, for at least three years after we last distribute that version.
• Third-party services. Components such as the Google Mobile Ads SDK are provided under their own licences and terms.

• The app is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Some features, such as Smart Playlist generation, let you choose to watch a rewarded ad. Rewards have no monetary value, can't be transferred or exchanged, and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
• We aren't responsible for the content of third-party ads, or for products, services or websites they promote. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them.
• Don't interfere with ads, generate invalid ad traffic, or use automated means to view or tap ads.

You agree not to use the app:

• to break any law, or to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights;
• in a way that disrupts other apps, your device or Google Play services.

Spatial audio, bass and loudness effects can make music sound louder or more intense.

• Listen at moderate volumes and take breaks; prolonged listening at high volume can damage hearing.
• Don't use headphones where you need to hear your surroundings, for example while driving, cycling or crossing roads.
• When using Android Auto, follow traffic laws and keep your attention on the road.

We may update, change or remove features, or stop offering the app, at any time. Some updates may be needed to keep using the app. We don't guarantee that the app will be available on every device or Android version.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or will work with every audio file or format.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. That includes loss of data, music files, playlists or listening history arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Back up anything you don't want to lose; Settings > Backup and restore can help. Where the law doesn't allow these exclusions, our liability is limited to the minimum amount the law permits.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived under the laws of your country.

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Sections 2, 3, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after you stop using it.

We may update these terms. We'll publish the new version at this address and update the effective date. For significant changes, we'll also let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of [country/state to be confirmed before release], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [city/country to be confirmed before release], unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
